A quick introduction to your hosts …..

Joelle has a long experience in hospitality and fell in love with Barcelona some years ago. Therefore, she decided to relocate from Brussels to Barcelona and experience the Spanish way of living. In August 2017, Joelle decided to engage herself in a new adventure and took over Casa Mallarenga.

Garry has a unique background combining military and commercial careers ; he is the commercial head of the Casa. Beyond his natural hospitality skills, he will advise you on places not to be missed.

Together, we speak many languages : French, Flemish, English, German and also some Spanish.

Rodalies RENFE : from Sitges to Barcelona, there is a direct train that brings you directly in the center (Placa de Catalunyna)

Linea LA PLANA : from Casa Mallarenga to Sitges, you can take a bus (3X day) during week days in our street: schedules are available

Mon-bus is commuting from Sitges to Airport several times a day 

Our "must do"  recommendations :


Sitges is ​​surrounded by the mountainous Garraf Natural Park. It is known for its Mediterranean beaches and its promenade lined with large mansions. The crowded old town and the surrounding streets are full of shops, restaurants and many gay bars and clubs. In the Maricel Museum and in the Cau Ferrat Museum, works of Catalan art and from other places in Spain are exhibited

Village of Garraf

This small costal village is one of the most charming corners in the region of Garraf, situated 11km northeast of Sitges. On the beach itself, the visitors eyes are captivated by the wooden beach huts painted green and white !

Olivella walking tours

Walking around the old centre of Olivella is undoubtedly a gratifying experience. Upon arrival you find plaça Major, location of the town hall and La Sala Information Centre, where you can obtain information about the El Garraf Park and Olivella in general, and from where guided tours begin to discover the most picturesque corners of the village

Buddhist Monastery

It was founded by Jamyang Tashi Dorje Rinpoche in 1996, thus constituting the first headquarters of the Buddhist Monks community Sakya Tashi Ling. The main palace built in 1905 is largely restored preserving its original architecture. The natural, spiritual and cultural offer make the Monastery a magnificent heritage of humanity and a place of pilgrimage as an example of peace and harmony.

ART Cava

The wine country of Penedès is one of the most exciting wine regions in Spain and a tour here is a must for wine lovers. A wide range of wine styles are produced here including the Traditional Method white and rosé Cava.. ! Art Cava is a small production; its partners will make you discover their manufacturing secrets and will share their passion for Cava. Visits on request.

Monastery de Montserrat

Santa Maria de Montserrat is a Benedictine abbey is notable for treasuring the image of the Virgin of Montserrat. The monastery was founded in the 11th century and still functions to this day, with over 70 monks. At 1,236 meters above the valley floor, Montserrat is the highest point of the Catalan lowlands.
